In Jas Obrecht's May 1984 track-by-track interview, Gibbons checks the session notes, identifies the custom Dean guitars and answers directly that both Gimme All Your Lovin' rhythm tracks used no effects before the Legend 50 amplifier. Engineer Terry Manning independently reports that the same single-speaker Legend 50 produced approximately 98 percent of Eliminator's guitar sounds, captured by an AKG 414 through the console preamp and a UA 176 limiter. The studio microphone, console preamp and limiter are recording-chain equipment after the amplifier, so they are documented in this note rather than misrepresented as floor pedals.
