Buckingham's deliberately minimal 2012 setup sends electric guitar through an SD-1 and DD-3, while a second DD-3 and RC-30 serve the acoustic route; nylon-string chorus and reverb come from the amplifiers.

Premier Guitar documents three separate backline paths and explicitly assigns each pedal to the electric or acoustic route. Buckingham independently confirmed in 2021 that his live electric core remained a Boss overdrive and DD-3. Two DD-3 placements are retained because the 2012 rundown identifies one in each physical path. The RC-30 carries background vocals and a small amount of guitar on selected acoustic songs. Amplifier-internal chorus and reverb are described but not represented as pedals.
