Marquee Moon direct path
Reconstructed equipment · Documented order · Not applicable
Reverb's Television gear history describes Marquee Moon as guitar and amplifier, with tube-amp distortion rather than a large effects chain, and associates the heyday rig with a Music Man 410-HD. Guitar.com's independent history likewise characterizes the period around Fender guitars and blackface-style amplification with very few effects. Jimmy Rip later recalled that Verlaine plugged straight into amplifiers and worked the guitar's volume and tone controls. Because none of these is a 1977 cable trace and Verlaine did use pedals in later solo studio work, the snapshot is explicitly marked reconstructed and limited to the Marquee Moon-era core path.
