A Thomann technical guide recounts a spring 1998 Mick Taylor concert and describes an unusually simple rig: Les Paul, Fender Twin Reverb and two small Ibanez pedals, one distortion and one chorus. The author calls a Tube Screamer the probable distortion model rather than a confirmed identification, and does not name the chorus model. Taylor independently told Guitar World in 2012 that chorus remained one of the effects he used, lending category-level support without identifying the 1998 unit. No source traces the two pedals' cable order. The display uses the conventional gain-before-modulation sequence and a two-control compact-series silhouette for the unidentified chorus; both visual identifications remain explicitly provisional.
